On 7th of June 1957, an impassioned debate took place at the United States House of Representatives about the famous “Civil Rights Act”. In the context of the historic session, Thomas G. ABERNETHY (1903-1998), a distinguished congressman for the state of Mississippi, had his say and read a text which took most of the people there by surprise.
